Registration

# A registration page for every event.

Publish an event and it gets its own registration page in your brand, with your questions and the seats left. Attendees register without an account, in their own language, and get a QR ticket by email. Seats are counted the moment someone submits, so the last seat goes to one person.

## What makes registration go smoothly?

Common problems with sign-up pages, and what Talli does about each one.

### Attendees read the page in their own language

People pick a language from the menu at the top, and the page, the ticket and the emails follow that choice. The event's text, attendee types, questions and choices are translated automatically, and your team can review and edit them. Languages written right to left, such as Arabic, are laid out right to left.

### Each group of people gets the right questions

Set up attendee types such as Employer and Broker, each with its own seats and questions. A question shown only to Brokers is never asked of Employers, and questions appear or disappear as the type is picked. Mark sensitive answers as private, and keep them hidden from AI assistants by default.

### A ticket that works on any phone

After registering, attendees land on their ticket page with a QR code, a ticket code, their attendee type, the date and venue. The QR code holds only the ticket code, nothing personal. The page works on phones, with keyboards and screen readers, and even without JavaScript.

### The last seat goes to one person

Seats are counted at the moment someone submits, so two people can never take the last one. With Waitlist when full on, a full event offers Join the waitlist and numbers people in the order they joined. When a seat opens, choose Give a seat to confirm someone and email their ticket.

### Registering twice changes nothing

One email address registers once per event, whatever its capitals or spaces. Someone who registers again is told they are already in, and their existing ticket is emailed to them again. No second registration is created and the seat count stays the same.

## How it works

From a draft event to a page people can share.

### Set up the form

Open the event and choose Registration. Write the welcome text, add attendee types and your own questions, and choose Save changes.

### Publish the event

On the event page, choose Publish and confirm. Until then the link shows page not found.

### Share the link

Choose View public page to open the registration page and share its link. Anyone with it can register, with no Talli account.

### Watch the seats fill

Each attendee gets a You're registered email with their QR code, or You're on the waitlist when the event is full. Every email is kept in the Outbox, with whether it was delivered.

**Read the guide.** The guide covers publishing, the attendee types and questions, languages, the ticket, the confirmation emails and the waitlist.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do attendees need a Talli account to register?

No. Anyone with the event's link can register, and the ticket page opens straight after. The ticket link is private to the attendee, so they should not share it.

### What happens when the event is full?

With Waitlist when full turned on, the page offers Join the waitlist and numbers people in the order they joined. With the waitlist off, the page says the event is full and takes no more registrations.

### Does anyone move off the waitlist automatically when someone cancels?

No. The cancelled seat becomes free, and an owner or admin chooses Give a seat on the Attendees page to confirm a waitlisted person and email their ticket.

### Can I ask different questions of different attendees?

Yes. Set a question's Show to option to one attendee type, and only people registering as that type are asked. Questions for a type that is not picked are not required.

### What is inside the QR code?

Only the ticket code, for example 7KQ4-MX29-RD. Nothing personal is stored in the QR code.
